Welcome! My name is Leila Shaheen and I am a graduate of the National Holisitic Institute in Emeryville CA. As a professional massage therapist, I am trained in a variety of modalities to assist in the facilitation of healing, relaxation, and pain relief. I became a massage therapist because I believe that touch is one of the potent and powerful ways that we can heal each other on any level of the human experience. The intention that we are capable of channeling into our hands is a fine-tuned art form and is the very essence of the massage experience. I have dedicated myself to this craft and see every moment between client and therapist to be a great gift. The unique and vulnerable experience of offering one's body into the service of another's hand is in and of itself the defining moment of what it means to move into healing the body, the mind, and the spirit. In my time practicing massage as a student of therapeautic bodywork I see and feel the incredible power of presence during bodywork wherein which both client and therapist greatly benefit, learn, expand, and become. The magic of massage is an ever evolving tapestry constantly being etched into the palms of my hands and then written onto the bodies that I am so honored to work on, and with, and for.
